The DB9 and DB11 are Aston Martin's core grand tourers, and they're bought as cars to use. Buyers expect complete records, especially on V12 cars, and they compare engine and body style closely.
This page covers both models. For other Astons and the full comparison of ways to sell, see the main Aston Martin guide.

Which DB9 or DB11 do you have?
DB9
2005–2012A 5.9-liter V12 grand tourer, as a coupe or Volante convertible, almost always with the Touchtronic automatic. Early manual cars are rare and sought after.
DB9 (later cars)
2013–2016An updated V12 with more power and carbon-ceramic brakes, plus the final DB9 GT. Worth more than earlier cars with similar miles.
DB11 V12
2017–2018A twin-turbo 5.2-liter V12. It was replaced by the more powerful DB11 AMR.
DB11 V8 and Volante
2018–2023A Mercedes-AMG-sourced twin-turbo V8. The Volante convertible came only with the V8. Many buyers prefer the V8 for its lighter feel and lower running costs.
DB11 AMR

Common questions
Is a V12 DB11 worth more than a V8?
Not always. Many buyers prefer the V8 for its lighter feel and lower running costs, while the AMR has its own following. Compare offers for your exact car.
Are DB9s expensive to own?
A V12 grand tourer has real running costs, and buyers price them in. A thick folder of service records is the best way to support your price.
Is a manual DB9 rare?
Yes. Most DB9s were automatics, and the few manual cars appeal to enthusiasts.
Will an Aston dealer buy my DB9?
Possibly, but dealers focus on newer cars. Specialists and private buyers are often stronger for a DB9.
